Alley Spring State Park is our family’s favorite memories. We love the campground, the Mill and store, and the Jacks Fork river.

One of my favorite campgrounds. It’s so easy to navigate, facilities are great, and there’s a path that will take you up the hill to a walkable bridge that will take you right to Allley Springs. Not to mention how picturesque it is right there by the jacks Forks river. And there is also plenty of space to walk my dog without interrupting the other campers. I will be back over and over again.

Was absolutely beautiful. We’re only a few people because of the time we were there. Biggest disappointment was that all of the restrooms were locked when we got there. We picked a spot close to the restrooms because we were traveling with a small child and according to the website the restrooms are supposed to be open year round.

We camped here after a hard freeze in mid-November. Although the website says this camp is open year round, you should be prepared to walk a bit to showers; there is not water at any RV sites (yet the price will be the same/night); the dump station is available, but no water there, either. You can dump, but not rinse hoses, etc. There appeared to be a water tap at the shower block, but we did not test it. ALL of this information should be listed on the website - to say something is "seasonal", you should also include specific DATES when amenities are turned off. The camp was desolate - only 1 other there in Loop 6 - so it was super quiet. The camp is accessible to other parks up the route north (for hiking) - note there are NO maps whatsoever posted w/ hiking trails. There was a paper map distribution board at Current River State Park (a closed park - no camping allowed), at the top of the hill before you descend. The Ozark Trail system holds promise for those who have maps - these are decently posted w/ coloured markers, but you do need a map, imo. Absolutely NO cellular service. Saw then Northern Lights, and the dark skies allowed great star gazing! We spent 2 nights there. Worth a journey in summer/seasonal for water + paddling access; otherwise, treat this as just a stop-over if yer traveling any other time of the year or for pure camping.

A beautiful campground. The lots were very spacious, nice picnic tables and fire pits. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Alley Spring is a gorgeous campground, close to the Jack's Fork River and the town of Eminence. The campground itself was clean, well-maintained, and had good restroom facilities. The only thing I would improve would be better signage guiding you to your campsites, as the loops are not the best marked. We had a wonderful trip over Labor Day weekend, which included floating the Jack's Fork twice using Harvey's Outfitters. We already can't wait to go back!
