About Alley Spring

The rolling, forested landscape around Alley Spring is where two of America's most beautiful spring-fed rivers combine to make up the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. As the first national park area to protect a wild river system, visitors are able to enjoy various water activities as well as hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

This campground is great. Clean, from fields to showers and restrooms. Only reason I gave 4 stars is noise from resurfacing equipment made very early as 8 am. They could start at least after 10 am, when most people are up.

There was construction to pave the sites. The workers started at 7 am & were using a commercial blower on a bobcat which blew the debris and dust off the section where they were working toward our loop. While I appreciate the new paved pads, the early morning start & use of the blower was not appreciated!
Other than that, it was a great stay.

The campground was beautiful and clean. Walking access to the river. There was a large park ranger presence which seemed a bit excessive but it did make for a quiet and peaceful experience. The bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day, along with the shower houses.

Alley Spring Campground was absolutely wonderful! First of all, the entire campground was incredibly clean and well maintained. Our family stayed on the electric side, while the rest of our group stayed on the non-electric side, and both areas were extremely nice. The campsites, bathrooms, and showers were all clean, and the whole campground was very well laid out and taken care of. The location is also great because it is close to several kayaking and canoe rental services, which made planning our float trip easy and convenient. Our entire group had such a good time and really enjoyed our stay. The only downside is the cell service or should I say, the complete lack of it! Baby, once you get down into that campground, you are not getting a signal. If you need service, you will have to drive all the way back up toward the top. Honestly, though, being disconnected for a little while wasn’t the worst thing, and it gave everyone a chance to enjoy the campground, the river, and each other. Overall, Alley Spring Campground is beautiful, clean, peaceful, and close to plenty of outdoor activities. We would absolutely stay here again!

This is one of my favorite campgrounds in the state. Lots of great campsites. Bathrooms with flushing toilets and showers are kept clean. The campground is just upstream on the Jacks Fork from Alley Spring so the water is cool but not cold. Harvey's Canoe Rental is a stone's throw from the campground. Great spot to get firewood, ice, etc..

Pro Tip: The cell reception is nearly non-existent but Harvey's has Wifi if you're having trouble logging into the website to secure your campsite.
