I grew up at this campground so now with having children of my own I'm doing the same thing with them and they absolutely love it. Great swimming areas for all families, I believe they have the best rates for camping, clean bathrooms and showers, they do a great job with keeping the campground clean and maintained. Will continue going.

Nice area along the river. Be Aware that Alley Spring campsites were mud covered on each and every site. Recommend bringing a hose or pressure washer get rid of the mud or you'll be bringing it into your camper.

First of all, the area is beautiful. There is so much to explore around here so it's definitely worth the trip. There is river access right in the park and the facilities were clean adequate.
For the bad: Due to the close proximity to the river, the campground floods from time to time. After the water recedes, it leaves behind a mix of sand and mud that settles to the lowest points. Unfortunately, the lowest points in the campground loop with electrical service, are the pads that you park your camper on. This means the pads are full of dirt and, when it rains, mud. If you decide to stay here, I suggest you bring a flat nosed shovel that you can use to scrape off as much mud/dirt as you can and then make sure to have something to throw down on top of it.

nice campsites, walking trails, and amenities--wish the empty campgrounds could be fitted with electric so that more people could enjoy

Great location to camp. If you don't want to cook or bring foods, Eminence has a half dozen locations to dine. We ended up floating the Current. Used Carr's Canoe Rental. Carr's is about 18 miles north of Alley Spring. If you wish to float the Jack's Fork you could hire Wendy's or Harvey's to float.

When we arrived, someone was in the spot we reserved. We had to wait in another spot while they got ready to leave. It was a couple, a man and a woman. The woman was drying her hair outside while we were waiting for our spot. The people drove up who's spot we were in so they caused problems for them and us. The people who were in our spot then moved to another spot while they continued getting ready to leave. We were able to finally move into our reserved spot. We waited at least a half hour for our spot. We always are out of our spot before check-out time and we consider this very rude when others are not. Other than this event, everything else went well and we enjoyed our camping experience the rest of the time.

Campground was decently well kept bath rooms and showers were clean no campground host most pads are covered with layer of slippery mud or flooded when raining or unending dust if it's dry lots of tent campers taking up electric rv / trailer sites several people kept asking what was available and if we were the host told them no said we didn't know but there was a number to call but you have to drive back to town to call someone no cell service so people left and never came back this went on all weekend i guess we looked like host reservation number is pretty much useless no cell service in this day and age is dangerous with constant severe weather events all the time and this place is known for fast severe flooding seems like a lot of money lost and wasted this weekend and probably every weekend electric and water definitely need up grading some of the 30 amps do not work alot of the water spigots don't turn off and constantly run wasting water dump station floods when it rains water gets ankle deep unsanitary extreme need of an upgrade if you can overlook the dangerous and unsanitary conditions the place is great most of the staff that is there are friendly and courteous
