What Guests Are Saying
Big Spring Campground is a peaceful and well-maintained location, known for its beautiful spring and river, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing, and hiking. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, helpful staff, and the serene atmosphere, especially during less crowded times. While some guests noted the lack of water and electric hook-ups at sites and occasional noise from other campers, many expressed a strong desire to return for the natural beauty and overall enjoyable experience.

Peaceful and pretty clean! They have super clean bathrooms and showers! We have went there 2x this summer and we plan on going in the fall.

Lots of low limbs from trees that scratched the rv.
Will not go back

This is a very nice clean campground. The spaces are a good size. There is also a resident turkey who is fun to watch.

Had to have low lying tree limbs removed before backing into the site in order to avoid damage to my camper.

Lot’s of park down there. The reservation area was very full, but it was not too bad. Plenty to do in the area.

Multiple brothers and cousins hanging at the river, floating down the river, eating at beaver teeth and throwing axes. Also Blue hole is a must! Can't wait until Big Springs restaurant is open.

Although the spring was beautiful, the campsite was disappointing. Not waterfront as described. You can take a trail down to the river from another campsite but definitely can't see or hear the river from the campsite. There are no showers in the camping loop. You will need a bike or car to get to the shower house. Fire pit and picnic table are on the driver's side so not convenient.

Bathrooms were close by but a massive puddle in the middle of the campsite when we arrived and that caused lots of mosquitoes and other bugs. Had to line up tents on uneven ground to avoid the water and it was kinda annoying.

Such a lovely campground that is well maintained and perfect for making use of the Current River. We floated from the rocky beach on our paddle boards and had a lovely time! Highly recommend this place!
