What Guests Are Saying
Big Spring Campground is a peaceful and well-maintained location, known for its beautiful spring and river, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing, and hiking. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, helpful staff, and the serene atmosphere, especially during less crowded times. While some guests noted the lack of water and electric hook-ups at sites and occasional noise from other campers, many expressed a strong desire to return for the natural beauty and overall enjoyable experience.

200 loop has power others nothing. dump station at entrance to fill your tank. If like us you don't get it completely full there is water near the restrooms. New hot showers before the main camping area.

Ozark National Senic Riverways is a gem! We stayed for two weeks at Big Spring Campground, site 204. The spring fed Current River is a hop and half a skip from the campground, ideal for a refreshing dip, or soak, (depending on your tolerance for cooler water) at the end of the day. There are a number of excellent trails through the forest and along the river. This morning, as I sat outside our rig, my amateur birding ear counted songs from 13 different species, that is, species I am able to identify. There were many more. Thank you to everyone at OZAR who works to make this place the special place it is. We'll be back!

The river was beautiful, the campground could have used a little care. During the night we had a small storm that flooded our site. Luckily we moved to a vacant spot that only half the asphalt was showing due to a build up of mud, leaves, and debris.

Love just sitting on the river relaxing! Big Springs is our favorite place. Great trails. Looking forward to the new restaurant with axe-throwing opening!

The MO parks dept should be commended for this park. Extremely clean, well kept, quiet and restful. We loved meeting pumpkin also! She did a fantastic job keeping the bugs off my truck. The bathroom was clean, obviously well kept. We will definitely stay there again! Great job staff!!!

It was all right, I stayed there because if the meteor shower presentation and then I rained and they talked about bats instead. I’m not fond of the power boats on that part of the river. I don’t mind cold water, especially when it was hot, but the bathrooms and showers were pretty grimy. I had previously stayed at Echo Bluff and Alley Springs so Big Springs paled in comparison. I just stayed 1 night of the 3 I had planned
