The fire pits should not be in the middle of the place you are camping. The spot was too small. Most of the campsites are too close together.

Mike went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. 👍 The campground was very nice and we enjoyed the full hookups. Wish all Corp campgrounds had them.

Excellent paved bike paths, big surprise to us, my husband loved them. We stayed in 52 upper with full hook up, nice, but Highway D was close and a little noisy during the day. Lake is gorgeous, with swimming areas. Bass boats galor…. Great fishing!

The campground was nice, pretty, very shady. Our site had a LOT (not just a few pieces) of trash (cigarette butts, bottle caps, etc) all over and the water spigot leaked, someone had a plastic bag tied to it because of the leak.
A lot of traffic on road, very fast moving cars. Not your typical COE.

I have always had no trouble or problems camping at Peoples Creek. However, the rec.gov website is a little difficult to use. The website has never let me reserve consecutive days at the same time.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |
