All sites full hook up. We had site 50. Right on the main road. Thought the site was small. Very quiet. Was not given instructions on where to locate fire wood. Luckily we had family in the area we were able to get fire wood from. Have a very large beach. Large boat ramp. All in all was a nice camp ground.

We stayed here in #48 for two nights. It was mid-week, peaceful quiet with gorgeous sunsets over the lake. Definitely be back

The campgrounds and the restrooms were clean and well taken care of. The beach was closed due to the heavy rains the week before, so we were disappointed we didn’t get to experience that.

Beautiful location, the sites were back in and narrow up or down hill. They were all paved as was the patio area. Hookups were usable but you had to go slow as they were on the down slop slide of the camper. Exiting was very step down hill with a shape curve. A long RV rear overhang could possibly drag. Our 37' 5th wheel was close but did not drag. We did not use the bathhouse but it was clean and in great condition. With these comments we still very much enjoyed our overnight stay and would stay here again.

Loved this campground! Upper People’s Creek was a smaller campground with full hookups and beautiful views - PCRU site 48 - very shaded with close access to the 3-mile asphalt path going from Lower People’s Creek campground, across dam and up further. 20-minute drive to Highway172 trailhead for Ozark Trail - gorgeous trail, especially for birding (migration time) - nice hosts, very helpful!

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |
