What Guests Are Saying
Peoples Creek is highly praised for its beautiful, clean, and quiet campground, with well-maintained facilities and friendly staff. Many visitors enjoyed the proximity to the lake, ample shade, and various activities, including fishing and hiking. While some sites had issues like poison ivy and steep terrain, the overall experience was positive, making it a recommended destination for campers.

It's a good spot to camp. The only thing I seen was it was a little loud with the motorcycle and loud vehicles going by. Other than that it is good.

Beautiful CG on the lake. We love ACOE parks and stay at them whenever we can. The roads through the camp were pretty sloping, but once parked, the site was pretty level. To exit, you have to drive down by the lake-pretty steep-and back up again. Lots of mature trees. The bath house was nice--combo shower/toilet rooms. Stainless fixtures are easy to keep clean. I did not use the shower but my husband said the water was nice and hot, and there was a heater in the room. Looks like they are working on connecting walking/biking paths between the different areas, and one part was under water due to recent rain. Poplar Bluff was an easy drive to stores, and there was a nice convenience store/gas station within walking distance, and a food truck. Nice area to hang out for a couple of days.

Rented site #47 six days for spring fishing and had a good time, the park was well kept as usual. Only problem I could see for a camper with a 34 plus foot camper on this site is the culvert at the curb, might drag backing in. Mine is 23 and did ok

We had reserved a site that was flooded when we got there. The attendant and rangers worked very hard to get us into another site so we were still able to enjoy our trip. We were very happy with the site and had a really good time.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |
