Redman Creek is our go-to place to stay when we are in the area to visit our grandchildren. In conversations with other campers at Redman Creek, we've learned that it is also a favorite place to which they return. Redman Creek is what can be expected from a COE campground: well-plumbed, well-wired, well-cared for, well-spaced sites, and well-managed. Thanks again, USACOE.

Upon arrival, the campsite was clean (no trash, etec.) and ready to back into. The electricity, water and sewage connections were handy and worked properly. The campground host (Mike) was very friendly. I highly recommend this campground.

We enjoy Redman very much. Only issue we had was weather related. Are concerned with availability in 2023 because of East being closed. Can't beat Redman for services and price. Would be great if wifi/tv reception was better.

Loved this campground. Sites were level and well spaced. Loved that the bathrooms and showers were individual units and I wasn’t trying to get dressed in a 3 x3 space with a curtain like many campgrounds. Everything was clean. The camp hosts were the best! I don’t know if campgrounds know that the host can make or break a traveler’s experience. This was a case of smiling and waving when the host went by as opposed to running into the coach so they don’t see you. We will most certainly be back.

Plenty of sites for large campers/fifth wheels. Clean bathrooms with lots of showers.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |

Attention All Recreation Users: If you would like to hold an event or wedding at any of the project’s day use shelters, boat ramps, or any recreation area please call or visit the USACE Wappapello Lake project office to obtain the special use or event permit REQUIRED.These permits are required if you are hosting: a large gathering greater than 50 people, fishing tournaments, 5k’s, weddings, use of a bounce house/water slide of any kind, ETC. Please note that if events are held that require, but do not possess a special use or special event permit may be subject to a WRITTEN CITATION. Per Title 36 CFR 327.21(a) If you are planning on hosting an event and it does not fall under these specific criteria, please contacting with the USACE Wappapello Lake Project Office at 1(573) 222-7500 or messaging us on our Facebook page. |
