Camping in the fall is the best. We love the natural setting of the campgrounds nestled in the woods. It will be a shame when they close Redman East to redo the campsites. Hopefully the don't cut down the trees and make it all concrete. We also hope Redman West isn't taken over by all of the volunteers, because we need a place to camp.

Upon arriving had to do some cleaning. Fire pit was full of trash and garbage behind site. Huge wasp nest under picnic table, wife and I both got stung. The hit and miss mowing job whenever they get around to it is pitiful. I weed eated both sites. The one we stayed on in august and also the one in September. Shower houses and bathrooms need power washed. You have so many “volunteers” taking up sites for what reason. If my site in October wasn’t already booked I would be done with camping here.

Love this campground. Everything works as it should, and it is close to the lake and a great walking/hiking trail.

our favorite place to stay. However, maintenance is much needed. Tree branches hanging down where they scrape the roof and sides of campers, especially in front of site number 66. Tall grass and weeds growing onto campsites where the weeds are touching the tables, and lots of trash being left behind by previous, inconsiderate campers, at many sites, especially number 65. I hope they find a different contractor to cut the grass and trim tree branches in the future. We love this place and are sad to see so many things getting overlooked.
