Very beautiful woodland setting with access to a nice beach area and the nearby lake. The site was well maintained, quiet, and clean. Highly recommend this location.

Nice campground with full hookups! There is a west side and east side of the Redman Creek Campground and we stayed at the east side (site 46). The east side has more sites and from what neighbors and regulars told us, more family oriented. The sites were spaced out really well along the main strip but a little tighter in the loops. Roads are wide enough to get any size rig into the park but not all sites are long and wide. However, most sites had enough room for a camper, tow vehicle and boat/trailer. TV reception was inconsistent but on average you’re able to get about 10 channels, sometimes 20.
The lake is nearby and there are multiple bike/walking paths as well as boat ramps. Some of the paths closer to Redman are steep but still ridable for most folks. There are a few beaches in the area and we visited the one at People’s Creek which is a short, five-minute drive away. Other than duck poo at the edge of the water, the beach was clean and the water was really nice.
The Wappapello Visitor’s Center is very informative and the history of the dam and spillway are interesting. Nearby city of Poplar Creek has all the stores, restaurants and amenities anyone could need but it’s about 30 minutes away. We used a laundromat in Poplar Creek and had no issues as they have the big washers and dryers making it much easier.
