This is such a wonderful area! The smaller kids have the playground to play, there's the tennis, basketball and volleyball courts and there is plenty of space to set up yard games. The beach is close enough for anybody who wants to take a dip in the lake and the restrooms are close by as well. Perfect for big or small events. It was nice to see the Park Ranger and Police frequent the area in case of emergencies. Will definitely book this one again!
If I would change anything, it would be that our name wasn't put on the schedule by the shelter so I was a bit concerned that the reservation might not have registered but I had printed out my receipt just in case, which was recommended during reserving the shelter. There was no trashcan so we had to have bags to put them in for convenience instead of walking to the dumpster constantly. It wasn't far, actually right by the parking lot but just having a trash can under the shelter to hold trash till the end of the event would have been convenient for those that weren't as mobile. So bring trash bags just for convenience.
Then again, those are just the smallest things and didn't take away from the awesome time we had.

This was our last stop on a 16 day trip and, by far, the best campground. Our west side spot was perfectly level and had water, electric and sewer! Our site had an adjacent concrete picnic area with table and firepit/grill. The bath/shower house was new and clean! Since we just stayed the one night and didn't even unhook the trailer, we didn't participate in any activities, however, we inadvertently pulled into the area where the boat ramp was and it looked amazing - large and accommodating for many boats/trailers. When we travel in that area again, we will definitely reserve a campsite in the West Campground!

While I wouldn’t rate this campground as one of my top five, it was still another nice COE experience. We stayed in the East Campground at the very back because there appeared to be better spacing between sites compared to the front. The bathrooms were clean and spacious but the landscape maintenance around the bathrooms was lacking by COE standards. The grass was over a foot tall and deep tire tracks in the mud surrounding the bathrooms were left unattended. The trash cans on Monday were overflowing onto the streets. I would stay at the West Campground next visit as there appeared to be much better green space for children and pets and the spacing of campsites seemed better. As others have mentioned a lot of the campsites are severely sloped front to back and left to right so be cautious when selecting a site. Also bring your leveling blocks and prepare to get creative.

Backed in to spot #97. For the first time, I didn't even need to level. My LevelPro Mate showed green, side to side! All amenities were great. Bathrooms were clean and usable. No air conditioning, but no complaints. I didn't stay in there long enough to bother me. I would definitely use this campground again. Way to go Corps...

Very nice park. Sites are spaced out with plenty of room. We have a 40’ motorcoach and had room to park the car in front of the RV. New shower houses. There is a playground if you have kids.
