For my last night of a very long road trip with my travel trailer I went to Rec.gov because it’s a tradition that I spend my last night at a state park campground preferably next to a lake. Longshoal did not disappoint. My site was electric only but there are several easily accessible water spigots available throughout the campground so water was not an issue. The campground was clean and nice with many spots with views to the lake if that’s what you want. It was a great final night and I only wish I hadn’t had doctors appointments the next day or I would’ve stayed the whole weekend!

Make sure you know which campsite you're going to and try to look at the location on a map beforehand if you've never been there. Park attendant is only there a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening. Our first time there this year, we arrived at 9pm and was not familiar with the campground in the dark. There was nobody to ask for assistance. We figured it out finally, but took a while. Wonderful campground though!

Longshoal is our favorite campground. We always enjoy going there.
The Shawnee Bend Golf Course is close by in Warsaw, and there are antique shops and other shops, in Warsaw, to browse and shop.
