We did not get to come camping. My knee was bothering me. I had a Drs appt the day after we were supposed to arrive. I cancelled 3 days before we were supposed to arrive. Now you will not refund my money essentially calling me a liar. I would like my $40 back asap.

The bird-watching was excellent. We sat in our chairs with our binoculars for hours watching the bald eagles and ospreys fish over the water and an orchard oriole built a nest in a branch right next to our site as we watched! Very quiet with friendly campers who mostly seem to go out every day on their boats. Huge immaculate shower house. Multiple beaches for cooling off.

What I like about this campground is it woodsy but yet the campgrounds are in super shape. The crew there really keep it clean. They are always friendly and helpful

I LOVE Longshoal! We’ve been going there for years! But the shady couple that works there is trashing up the loop they “live” in. They have multiple trailers, cars and trash just laying around. Plus the story of one man being shot and the wife marrying the brother gives me visions of Ozark. They had parked several cars 1/2 way in the one lane road all weekend so taking our boat to the marina and getting our camper out the day we were departing a huge issue. Our camper was in the tree branches to get around their parked trucks. The other two attendants are amazing clean and super friendly!

Arrival & departure
- A camping permit is required and must be obtained at the park booth. Limits apply to equipment and vehicle parking.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
