We stay at the campground multiple times per year and love it there.
I would like to see 50amp service at some sites.
I was not in favor of all the brush removal. I understand the reasoning for fire safety but do not believe the live brush is more hazardous than the live cedar trees that are left.
The brush helps foster an atmosphere of some privacy in the campground.

I want to give more stars to this campground, because we love the location and how close to the water to put our kayak in; however, the bathroom was too dirty with black mold in the shower stalls. I stayed 3 days, never saw anyone close the facility for cleaning. We reserved a site with standard electric, because we wanted to keep a fan on during the hot summer nights, but found out the outlet didn't work after we settled. We notified the camp host and the maintenance guy came the next day to fix it.
The water from the spigot was yellowish with residue and ruined our 5 gallons water container. Luckily we carried 2 gallons of water from home, so we still had plenty of water for first night. But have to replace the new container we bought this season.
We went to the town Warsaw next day to get more water for the rest of our trip. It's a small town, but has a big Walmart and lot of fast food restaurants. We also stopped by Truman lake visitor center, overlooking the lake and the dam.
We drove around the campground to look for a better site for our future trip, most of the camp sites with standard electric are shaded with leveled gravel driveway, but with all the trees around, it is hard to find a grassy area to set up tents, I think they are more suitable for trailer and RV. For the non-electric camp sites, they are right by the water, with more grassy area and no shade at all, but have beautiful view of the lake.
I don't recall if this campground has full hook up, I saw our neighbor let the waste water running out from their trailer right to the ground and it was gross. I read the camp rules, and it clearly said it is not allowed.
Overall, I still like this campground because of the location.

Campsites not cleaned. Had a large pile of ash in the fire pit loaded with cigarette butts. Cig. Butts all over . Bath house full of mold and mildew. It was never properly cleaned. Feces never scrubbed from toilet bowl in the week I was there. The COE let me down at this campground
