The Rombo campground host is fabulous - kind, thoughtful, and very helpful. The campground is spotlessly clean, as are the outhouses.

The camp host, Bill, was hands-down the best camp host I have ever encountered in 48 years of camping! He is so friendly, knowledgeable, and available at all times. He's goes out of his way to help campers coming in to the campground and makes sure they are comfortable and informed. The outhouses were immaculate 24-7, a phenomenon I've never seen. He's knowledgeable of the area and can answer a variety of questions concerning nearby attractions, other campgrounds, and forest roads. I cannot say enough about Bill, he is a truly excellent camp host! The campground itself is very clean, easily accessible, and the spots are spacious and easy to get in to. There are some ants and at the time we were there (July) there were some horseflies as well, but neither at a level I would consider abnormal when in the woods mid-summer. Great experience all the way around.

Beautiful & peaceful campground on Rombo Creek. The camp host kept the bathrooms & sites very clean and obviously takes a lot of pride caring for this campground. Really enjoyed our stay here. Close to town if you need something but far enough away you are off the beaten path.
