This campground is beautiful! Immaculately clean thanks to Bill, the campground host. We have been camping for 50 years and he is the best host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He and his sweet dog, Jellybean, should be given an award.

Rombo was a beautiful place to camp. The outhouses were very clean and the camp host was nice and helpful. Space number 15 was hard to back into. 14 and 16 were easy to get into with my 24 foot trailer.

Very well maintained campgrounds. The hosts or forest service or whoever manages this site is doing great work.

Campground condition: superb.
Campground host: exemplary.
Overall experiece, from arrival to departure: wonderful.
Reservation process: fraught with glitches, makes me less tempted to use it again and instead just take my chances and show up.
1.) I paid for senior season pass, was only credited for one night of entire five night stay due to errors in system. In other words, senior pass was effectively an added cost, not a discount.
2.) Repeated attempts to reserve did not go through.
3.) Repeasted failures to confirm reservations as odered in a timely and accurate manner led to reorder, reconfirm, rec.gov gets it wrong, rinse and repeat, etc.
4.) Whole process much more difficult and obscure than ordering anything else online.
I can't recall the specific glitches now. but would encourage you to model the selling of campground space online after the standard model of any successful online seller.
The wheels are there - don't reinvent one that has so many corners on it.

Great site next to the West fork of the Bitterroot River. Campsites nicely spaced with shrubs and trees allowing for some privacy. Clean bathroom. Camp host offered access to free firewood.
