What Guests Are Saying
Henneberry House offers an amazing location with river access, a well-stocked cabin, and a warm wood stove, making it ideal for a getaway. Guests enjoyed the clean facilities and ample outdoor space for activities like fishing and bonfires. However, some noted issues such as limited sleeping privacy, the need for potable water, and occasional mice presence, which are typical in older cabins.

We had the best time! Amenities were perfect, everything was well stocked. Wood stove did a frat job at keeping us warm. Not the mention the location was amazing; very secluded, river access right in the backyard. It was amazing we will definitely be back!

This was an awesome cabin for a girls weekend get away. If you try to use Google maps, then it will not take you directly to this spot so make sure when you exit off of I-15 the entrance will not be too far off. If you cross the river, then you have gone too far. There is a sign that says Henneberry House. The cabin itself had plenty of space, but I would say fits 5-6 more comfortably. There were a few flies but otherwise very clean. The wood stove inside kept the cabin warm and where we slept. There was plenty of firewood available. The river in the back was fun to fish. There was a nice area to have a bonfire and a few other older structures on the property. The bathroom near the cabin was clean and had a light which was pretty nice. Also, the location is far enough away from the road for it to be quiet but not necessarily too far away either. Dillon is about 23mins away and Bannack is about 45mins away.

Great location, entrance is on the outer road immediately off the exit. Ignore Google after you take the final exit.
There’s no doors on the bedrooms so consider that for sound insulation if you have a group or someone who snores.
There’s a modern coded padlock I appreciated as that made entering and locking much easier.
Bring potable water with you, the river is clean but boiling it is a pain,
A yeti cooler (or something similar) would be optimal as well since the fridge is small.
There is ample parking and land. The river wasn’t that deep in September but very cold. The water line went up too a few feet as well.
This is probably one of the best cabins I’ve visited so far.

This place is absolutely beautiful and we love it! HOWEVER, be very careful with the water use! I got an e-coli infection that nearly killed me! We did not drink the water, but we did use it for dishes, cleaning, etc. The water MUST be boiled!

Had a wonderful time staying at the Henneberry Cabin this last weekend (May 3rd/4th). The weather was gorgeous and we had so much fun fishing, roasting marshmallows, watching birds, and just hanging out in nature. We only reserved it for one night, but going forward we will definitely get it for two because it is just so nice.
The cabin itself is beautiful and well maintained. It was as clean as you can expect a 120 year old rudimentary cabin to be. The floors were nicely swept, it has a few nice carpet rugs, and the kitchen was stocked with some cooking dishes and silverware. There was plenty of firewood, which we used in the woodstove to keep warm over night, and then in the cooking stove to make breakfast on Sunday morning.
There are mice in the cabin, but that is to be expected since it's not lived in and there aren't any cats there to keep them at bay.
The sandhill cranes were traveling through and it was awesome to watch them fly over and land in the field in front of the house.
The water that comes from the pump out front is not potable, so make sure you bring your own drinking water.
The vault toilet was clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
I highly recommend staying here!

Awesome Cabin! This is my second time coming to this Cabin and I love it. It didn't bother me much but as an FYI - I have T-Mobile and had almost no cell service, my friends with Verizon had coverage.
