White Sandy Campground offers a relaxing experience with spacious, well-kept sites and beautiful views of the lake. Camp hosts are friendly and attentive, ensuring a clean environment and maintaining a quiet atmosphere. However, issues such as lack of water access, parking congestion, and occasional noise from neighbors have been noted, but overall, visitors express a desire to return.

The sites that are along the water are amazing. We had a great view. I didn't feel like we are all crammed together, but the sites are not private. The camp host was nice and helpful. You can see the attendants working in the morning to make sure that the campground is clean. The only issue is not with the campground itself, but with the campers. People still need to learn camping courtesies, especially with pets. Many off-leash dogs which I normally wouldn't complain about. We were still socializing our dog so he isn't the most comfortable around other dogs yet and we had an off-leash dog came over. The owner's said "he's friendly" and unfortunately, we had to let her know that ours wasn't. Our dog was also on leash and even after telling the owner about our dog there was no sense of urgency to get her dog. So again, not the campgrounds fault and I realize this was a one off situation that could happen anywhere, but wanted to include why I didn't give 5 stars.

Great site. Nice sandy beach. Glad we were there on an off day -- so just a few campers.

  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
