Beautiful place. The Group site worked very well for our group. The Forest Service people were friendly and easy to talk with. A lot of privacy. Fishing in the lake was not great for us, but others on the lake were doing fairly well. Thank you for an enjoyable time.

An expansive campground with many varied sites, excellent shade for many of the tent spots, decent placement of fire rings, tables, and tent spaces, varied and interesting wildlife present, good placement of dumpsters and vault toilets, and some exceptional views. The host, Daryl, was very friendly and polite, and did an excellent job of upkeep and maintenance across the campground. There are a variety of walking trails and nearby attractions and amenities. It would be nice if one or two of the specific walk-in tent only sites were available for reservation.

Beautiful, clean, well maintained facility. No cell service for 11 miles. Lake has a great swim area. Awesome cliff jumping.
Thank you to the national forest area workers in Libby Montana Area.

We never made it to the Campground.
GPS coordinates were not accurate.
This campground is about 25 miles minimum outside of Libby.
If we would have known that...we would not of booked there.

McGillivray campground on Koocanusa Lake is a hidden gem. Facilities are clean, camp host is attentive and personable, campsites are well situated with plenty of space between campers. There are many opportunities for "day trips" in the area including tours of LIbby Dam, Kootenay Falls foot bridge and a paved loop road around the lake.
