Campground was spacious and clean. However you can't just walk to water access, would need to drive back and forth. Just for others information no cell service or logs for sale near by. When we asked the camp host if he had firewood he said "no". That evening while taking a walk we noticed a lot of left firewood in empty camp spots he could've told us about ;(

Daryl, the campground host, is awesome. So helpful and laid back while ensuring everyone is able to enjoy the beauty of the campground! We had our wedding at Group site 1 and it was so perfect. Beautiful pavilion that hardly needed any decorating, gorgeous meadow, and a beautiful lake nearby!

Excellent location and very generous sites. Lake is almost vacant even in August. Plenty of first come first serve spaces available. Camp host is one of the best we experienced. Only shortcoming is that only the tent sites have a view of the lake.

Had a blast kayaking at Kooncanusa. The stars were so brilliant at night we laid on the picnic table and counted falling stars. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Montana.

All the campsites are very large, we were in site 8 and had so much room for our 34ft camper plus our truck.
