About Mill Creek Cabin

Mill Creek Cabin was built in 1927 as a temporary lodging for traveling Forest Service personnel. The cabin can be accessed by vehicle year-round, though a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety. This cabin offers rustic accommodations with limited amenities, so guests need to bring most of their own supplies and gear for a comfortable stay.

Cabin was clean - spray chlorox bottle was provided for covid - thanks usfs! Having running water was a luxury in usfs cabin! Cabin is close to road but that wasnt a problem for noise or dust. Back deck overlooking Mill creek was great - spent most of our time back there.

This is one of my favorite cabins so far. It’s right on the creek. Only downside is that the stove is too small to keep up on warming the whole cabin, at least on our 20 degree night.

It is an easy drive from Bozeman. Hiking trail is very close near the campground it was fun to see a sled dog team training on the road on front of the cabin. It is always nice to have electricity.
