Mill Creek Cabin was built in 1927 as a temporary lodging for traveling Forest Service personnel.
The cabin can be accessed by vehicle year-round, though a four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety. This cabin offers rustic accommodations with limited amenities, so guests need to bring most of their own supplies and gear for a comfortable stay.

Mill Creek Cabin offers a clean, cozy, and well-stocked environment with great amenities like electricity, a fridge, and ample firewood. Guests appreciate the beautiful setting, including a porch overlooking the creek, and various outdoor activities available nearby. While there are occasional issues like mice and power outages, overall, the cabin provides a wonderful experience for families and groups seeking relaxation and adventure.
The cabin was easy to get to And a nice spot along the creek. Not the greatest weather for cross country skiing (not the cabins fault!). but it was a nice spot for a getaway.

Drove to the cabin in the dark (in January) and found it no problem. Cabin has pots for cooking and stays plenty warm during winter months with the stove burning. Bring your own wood!

The price of the cabin has more than doubled yet no improvements have been made and the property is suffering from deferred maintenance. Part of one window is missing and has card board taped up. The front door handle is coming off. There are only two chairs and one is coming apart. There is more flooring missing than present.
That said it is a beautiful location and a cool old cabin.

The cabin (marked as the Mill Creek Work Center) will be on the right, just before the Snowbank Campground. In winter, the road is plowed to the Snowbank snowmobile parking area, which is beyond the cabin.
