What Guests Are Saying
The Moose Lake Cabin is a clean, peaceful retreat with fantastic views and a well-stocked interior, making it a favorite among visitors. Guests appreciate the rustic charm, the cozy woodstove, and the nearby recreational activities like fishing and hiking. We absolutely loved this cabin! The stove is definitely the star of the show. Very clean and thoughtfully stocked. We heard Elk bugling. Really enjoyed reading the log entries from all of the visitors. We hope to be back again!

This was our second time at the Moose Lake Cabin. We fully intend to come back as often as possible, and in other seasons. The cabin is well-stocked, the previous renters left it and the surrounding yard, parking area, and vault toilet clean. And we didn't hear or see any signs of mouse activity! You can't beat such a cute, historic cabin so close to great fishing and the recreational opportunities of Moose Lake and the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness. Thank you to the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest for gating the short spur road to the cabin from the main Moose Lake Road. We've stayed in other cabins (*cough* Strawberry Butte near Helena *cough*) where access was wide open and our privacy and security was in doubt at all hours. The Moose Lake Cabin is one of the best accessible USFS rentals in Montana.
