Love that it was off the road but easy to get to even with foot of snow on the ground. Did not like that it only had bunk beds and my husband and I had to sleep in different beds.

the cabin was awesome! it was the only time i ever saw my dog sad to leave a place because it was so quiet and peaceful there. the river is 100 yards away and i was able to catch a few trout while there. i suggest bringing a lantern or two since it is very dark in the cabin.
it was so beautiful and the road was well maintained. i went there my first week in Montana in 2010 and could not remember where it was. after i found it i dragged my wife and dog there and i showed them why this cabin made me fall in love with Montana.

The cabin is small, rustic, and cozy. The location is gorgeous. In winter there is plenty of firewood. The bunks have reasonably cushy mattresses on them. The listing is incorrect on two points: the cook stove is the wood stove and not a separate propane stove. It’s fun to cook on it. There is no propane lantern. So you will want to bring your own lights.

Very nice little cabin, a bit hot in full sun but nearby stream and tree cover provide alternatives. Great a for a getaway with your pup.
