Always a wonderful stay! Cabin was clean, cozy, and well stocked with firewood and cooking necessities. Highly recommend the nearby hiking up Hogback or Sandstone—though ticks were again prevalent up Hogback in mid-March.

This homestead was great. Very well appointed. While I was there I read a book about Annie and Jocko, which added so much to the experience. I wish we had stayed longer, but hope to come back soon. My husband, Jack Morrison, had spent time there as a teenager with the Puyear grandsons, so it was a great for him to get a chance to reminisce.

Thanks for the experience.

I'm so proud of the folks who have treated Morgan-Case with love and the groups and employees who have maintained and cared for this precious gem. The homestead was so clean and well stocked. Thanks to all!

Very upscale FS cabin. Almost like visiting someone's home, especially nice during the off season when traffic is light or non-existent.

I am so disappointed in this reservation I can’t even describe to what levels. My reservation confirmation and reminders all listed site amenities and then had a link for more information. That link never worked!! And of course it “probably” contains really really important info like no running water, no bedding, etc. Unfortunately, it was up the worst road I’ve ever driven on, it is 30 miles into the middle of nowhere. I have NEVER had an experience like this on your site. So NOT worth $75/night.

Overall experience with the facility was very good, but there is no lock on the back door. Boats and trailers sped by all day long and forced us to back up on the road in narrow areas where trailers are not recommended. Fishing access sites are now inaccessible because vehicles with boat trailers have blocked them off and parking all over even in non-designated areas. It seems the shuttle services and guides believe they own the road and the creek now. Some vehicles parked in front of the gate because the sign is not legible enough.

Bring plenty of water for drinking and cleaning. Be very aware of ticks in the springtime.
