Basin campground is one of the best campgrounds. The Camp Hosts are so friendly and so helpful. The setting is beautiful by the Creek. The paved road through the campground is great for walking. It's quiet and peaceful and so beautiful. It's within 20 minutes of Red Lodge Montana. We love it there.

Loved the location! And the camp hosts were amazing. They stayed on top of everything. Kept the bathrooms clean, talked with campers, etc. we were impressed.

Site 7 was beautiful, right by the creek. Sites were fairly spread out but not a lot of privacy due to bare trees. Our neighbors did not respect site boundaries either and kept walking through our campsite. We ended up moving up the road to Cascade CG for more privacy, though it was a bit colder.

Was a beautiful campground. Our site was quite and felt secluded against the forest and river below.

Policies & Rules
General
- Standard Single Family sites: Recreation Use Fee allows ONE camping unit ONLY.
- Extra Vehicles: Cannot be paid for in advance - upon arrival coordinate with the host for payment and where to park.
- campers are not considered a "no-show" until 24 hours after arrival date check in time. Our policy is that your site will not be released before that.
- FIRST COME FIRST SERVE sites must be booked in person. DO NOT call to determine availability, as they are only available on-site.
- Bears frequent the area; please obey all food storage rules and regulations. Check with your host for details.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org. Firewood bundles can be purchased from the camground host.
