Basin Montana Campground is a well-maintained, peaceful retreat, ideal for escaping daily life with its clean facilities and friendly camp hosts, John and Rhonda. Guests appreciate the beautiful surroundings, ample shade, and proximity to hiking trails and Rock Creek, making it a favorite spot for families and repeat visitors. It was a lovely weekend stay, even with the rainy weather. The campground was clean and the hosts were friendly.

Rhonda and John and their dog Sarge are excellent camp hosts. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and they keep the place very clean. It would be nice if something could be done about the well. The water is very rusty. Also, every site should have a Bear box.

The camp hosts, John and Rhonda, were exceptional! Very nice people doing a great job! Let us know about the wildlife around the campground when we first got there and asked several times if there was anything we needed. I hope to see them again and hope they are camp hosts at Basin, or anywhere, for many more years. :-)

Really cool spot! Our site was walking distance to a creek that runs by, which was peaceful to fall asleep to. There were some nearby hikes that went through a variety of landscapes (rocky terrain, forest, prairies). The campground hosts were super friendly, proactively helpful, and communicative about nearby wildlife sightings. Plus they had a very cute campground dog, Sarge :)

The camper near mine with a generator allowed to run until 10 PM ruined my evening. Wonder who the idiot is that sets rules allowing loud noises in the campground.

Remote Montana, near Buffalo, was a great place to spend a few days of dry camping. Nich big sites, good pit toliets. You will be in the forest but it is not dense enough to shield you from neighbors. Great hike to the Basin lake.

Such a great campground! Spacious and lots of room between campsites. It’s close to the creek no matter what site you have. The campground hosts , Rhonda and John are the best!
