Basin Montana Campground

Clean campground, beautiful views, and great campground hosts.

This is one of my favorite camp ground. I wish the campground bathroom were cleaner and had a light inside. Overall it wasn’t bad but not the best either.

Hiking trails are close to the campground. Silver Run trails offer several hikes within walking distance of Basin. The Basin Lakes trail is a little more challenging for us old folks but a beautiful hike. The campground is very well kept by the camp hosts.

John and Rhonda are the best camp hosts! They keep everything clean and make sure the guests are taken care of.

We love this campground as it's remote enough, close to Basin Lake and Silver Run trails, and has a creek running through it, but also close enough to town if you want to get supplies or have a meal. Great camp hosts who keep it very clean. The downside is that we occasionally encounter a rude camper who runs a generator all day long, from 8 am to 10 pm. Last time we left a day early because of this. I feel like this happens more here because of the proximity to town. Next time I'll consider staying at a more remote campground. This behavior needs to be discouraged. We come here for the peace and quiet of nature, not to listen to the hum of a loud generator.

Camp hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They made you feel welcome and remembered us from past visits. Great people.
