I don't know if it was the heat or what. But restrooms smelled very bad and needed more cleaning with all the people that were camping over the weekend. I have camped at Rattin Campground and those restrooms are spic-n-spam. Other than that it was fine. Host site looks like a homeless camp.

We stayed in site 9 which was close to the river. We really enjoyed the the sound of the river and the view of the surrounding mountains. I hiked some of the area but stopped due to not having any bear spray ( i saw recent bear droppings). The only negative thing was we are really close to our neighbors and there really isn't any privacy.

Amazing campground! Tall pine trees and hammock camping along a creek. Beautiful. We will return. The creek made for some amazing views and amazing sounds. Loved it! We loved the proximity to various mountain trails and views. Hike the Basin Trail! Very memorable.
