What Guests Are Saying

Greenough Lake campground is well-loved for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, making it an excellent spot for camping. Many sites offer privacy and amenities like bathrooms, though some specific sites, like #15 and #8, have received criticism for their layout and size. Overall, the campground is highly recommended for its serene atmosphere and proximity to a lovely alpine lake.

We were one of very few in the campground, which was great for us. Not so much for the campers looking for a spot to camp. Most of the sites through reservations were filled. But most did not show up. When someone reserves and does not cancel, that site cannot be taken by anyone else looking for a campsite. Very discouraging. We would have liked to have our favorite site, but not able to, because that site was filled by someone that did not show up. Apparently not enough incentive or a fine for those people who don't cancel when they know they won't be using the site. Perhaps when the customer does not cancel when they know they won't be using the site, they should be put on a list and the second time they fail to cancel, they will be denied the privilege to reserve in Montana for two to five years. They are just so selfish, never thinking of anyone but themselves.

Camping areas were very clean, were even cleaned vie blowers. Also the toilets were always clean, always had plenty toilet paper. The small reservations signs were always accurate, and the hosts were very friendly. Takes super hosts to so such a job so well, rather than just looking for money !!!! The lake was great for the smaller young fishers !!!

Very nice and clean campground. Will definitely be returning again very soon. Loved the quietness and sound of the creek at night. Wish the bathroom facilities were a little nicer but overall a very nice place to camp.
