The view from this site was amazing!! We absolutely loved the direct, personal access to the lake from the campsite. However, the road noise all day and throughout the night (including sleeping hours) was something we weren't expecting. The amount of noise took away from the tranquility of the campground. The best part of our stay was having two up close and personal experiences with Bald Eagles while we were paddle boarding on the lake!

Lake Alva is our favorite place on Earth, and we look forward to spending a week there every summer. It's paradise.

The only reason I’m giving this spot two stars is because of the road noise. This spot is right along the highway and lots of road noise all night and morning. I didn’t realize that when I booked it. If it weren’t for the highway, this place would be amazing!!! Beautiful view and direct access to the lake! And the camp hosts were great!

This is an absolute gem of a spot - well managed by the campground host and each site is really perfect

I was not able to use my reservation because I had a message that the forest director had ordered an evacuation of the campground. So I paid for other accommodations north of the campground. However I was curious so I drove past the campground after my reservation would have been complete only to find campers set up in the campground. ????
