Quiet and relaxing campground

The Campground Host and the Campground Ranger were so helpful in getting my campsite figured out. they both were friendly and had a positive attitude. They were willing to do what it would take for a positive camp and park experience. I was appreciative and thankful.

The next site over seemed quite close. Honestly, the whole campground felt a bit tight. A bit more space would be much appreciated; however, I understand capitalism. More spaces means more money. I get it. It's still a shame though. The site itself is conveniently located a very short walk away to the bathrooms and dumpster. That convenience is paid with hearing the foot traffic. As a vehicle only space, I think it's small. I have a 17' long van and Goldilocks herself would say, "Just right." A vehicle longer than 17' might find themselves really close to the next site over neighbor. Bathroom was clean, The faucet water was cold.

Reservation the day of works very well

The bathroom needs to update. The previous person's sandals and stuff were just left sitting there.

It was good site was clean and it was a good spot for a more lowkey part of the park

Restrooms not cleaned regularly. Camp host did not enforce quite hours and did not make regular rounds. Ground maintenance not kept up.

Lovely campsite well located.
We booked the day before and took the last available space. When we turned up a sign indicated that this was a disabled/accessible site. This was not stated on booking.

We loved our time at Rising Sun Campground! The bathrooms were clean and there were several water spigots available throughout. The location was great, close to the camp store and having a shower available (for a fee) was a plus! Would definitely stay here again!
