I would give it 5 stars but the last few miles of the road getting there is pretty bumpy. Just go slow.
Nice spot, great bathhouse with private rooms for toilet and shower. Nice friendly people!
We took a bike ride down the dirt towards the start of the lake and didn't see 1 car for miles, very cool and peaceful ride for mountain biking.
If you want to get on the lake rent a boat or jet ski at ski patrol.
Have fun!!

After a long day of driving, we were really hoping to have a nice quiet evening at our campsite. The drive in from the main road was long and very rough but we were hoping it would be worth it. Unfortunately, there was a loud pool party going on that was not only disruptive in the public spaces but was impossible to not hear at the campsite. These individuals were also drinking beer in the pool and generally rowdy. They also took up the basketball court with their ATVs. The final straw was when we kept watching ATVs and Motorcycles coming through going way too fast as we have small children. We packed up after a couple of hours and just drove the five hours to our next campground. It seemed like rules were only meant for certain guests and some guests and employees were allowed to do whatever they wanted.

We have been visiting this campground for many years. It has always been nice. This year it is even better with new staff and mx crew, they are doing a terrific job fixing up the place. We have never seen it in better shape !

We have been camping around Lake Mac for quite a few years but Eagle Canyon Hideway was above and beyond our expectations! They had clean bathrooms, no bugs, emptied trash cans daily! We had four camper trailers and two tents in our group, 12 of us with no complaints! The pool, basketball hoop and playground were a hit with the kids! We felt safe enough to let the kids go there by themselves and they even made friends for the weekend! Yeah, it’s not close enough to walk to the lake, but a drive to the lake is not much more than 5 miles. (Through Vans)

We enjoyed our stay at Eagle Canon, this place is just as it is named,a Hideaway, away from the hustle and busel of a tourist trap.Family orientated, and peaceful for a great rest. The sleeper cabin we stayed in was clean and quiet and cool. The Sleeper was not far from the Showers (which where immaculate) and free, with hot water for days. It even boasts a pool which is lovingly maintained. The whole staff was Great and welcoming. We plan to stay again and again. THANK YOU EAGLE CANON
