Prairie View RV Park

Park listed as full hook-up most of sites were. Was told to look up sites on line that were availible. While traveling, couldn't do it. Got there and all but 2 or 3 sites were vacant, but web site onle showed several that were available. Tried figuring out,but we were hot and tired so we left. Sites that seemed available did not have sewer, and I saw no dump station.

We stayed with friends at a buddy site for a couple of nights. Our site had a table, a nice fire ring, power, water, sewage and WiFi. Note: there is no bathhouse, so your RV needs to be self-contained.
After taking a drive around the lake and seeing other RV parks, this is definitely the best near the lake.
If you stay at a state campground you might save a couple of bucks, but none that I saw had sewage hookups or WiFi—just water and electric, meaning that you need to move your RV every few days to dump the tanks. Prairie View was nice to have full hookups making sites good for longer stays.
If we go to Lake Mac again we’ll definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 4 months while travel nursing. It’s a nice, clean, and quiet spot. The owner and folks that take care of the place are very nice and helpful. The lake is close by and a few restaurants in the area. Definitely would stay here again. As I was leaving, they were putting in additional amenities. Overall a great value. When I left, it was like leaving friends.

Lots of work going into upgrades on this property. Great place to camp!

Prairie View RV Park has great full service pull through spots with some nice amenities nearby. The park always seems to be improving and the manager Shelby seems to take care of everyone. Very close access to Lake McConaughy with affordable prices with their seasonal ratees!
