A good location on the river below the dam. Town access is easiest if you stay on the Nebraska side of the river and go East and then cross the river into Yankton.

Caught my share of catfish, and carp so I'm a happy camper. Rest rooms are the cleanest of any place we've ever been. We camp there at least 5 times a year and never are disappointed.
I would of gave it a 5 but we had a camper next door with loud music and the ranger just drove by and waved at them. The music did stop in time enough to comply with guit time. We'll be back.

This is a very convenient location. The shower house is clean and the camp hosts are always friendly.

Tailwaters is among my most favorite camping sites. It offers huge camp sites, electric amd very clean shower//bath area. With every site viewing the Missouri River, it beats neighboring camp grounds. I will keep returning and booking my reservations.

Nice campground, clean restrooms and showers. A con is that the concrete pads are narrow and not level with the grass/ground off the pad. Picnic tables, etc are in the grassy area which is kind of a pain when rainy and wet ground. Sites are long (and narrow).
