Extremely hot (wind feels like standing in front of an oven!) but quiet and peaceful. My gf and I had a tent with a fan and it was a nice night of sleep but hot evening waiting for temperatures to drop after the sun went down. We only saw one other couple in a camper in the whole campground but the park manager showed up in the morning and there was a marina within view so not totally isolated. We awoke to squeaking sounds of tiny quails in the park which was a pleasant surprise. The water in the restrooms was hot obviously but they were clean.

Your camp host is old,tired, and not doing well at his volunteer job. The place is a mess, and he is going around in his car yelling at campers who paid the fees to "better pay up before it's too late #.what ever that's supposed to mean. So not fun not the experience I have had in other parks. BOO!

Who is tasked with picking up litter around the campground? There is a lot of trash blown into the shrubs around the CG. And there's a lot of "micro trash" all over - small pieces. Additionally, a group not officially camping in the campground used site 70 late during the night of Nov 22, leaving a lot of litter when they left. That trash stayed on the ground for a couple of days while the host drove around and around in his govt truck... I saw him finally pick it up, several days later. As a former park ranger myself, I was frankly appalled by how this campground is being maintained...

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
