With the word Bay in the name, we expected water. We arrived when it was dark and did see a river way far down there in the morning. The campground was empty with no sign of life. A bit eerie. There was no camp host, only an abandoned car in the camp host spot. There was only one other camper during our stay and it seemed they may live there full time. The cicadas were SO loud. We were woken early to a loud symphony of birds. I enjoyed seeing all the quail searching for cicada in the morning. That was entertaining.

Bathroom lights were out had to use our own. Campground was a mess and as tired rubbish everywhere, major fire hazard. Had to constantly sweep it away so it wouldn't start a fire. There was no camp host and when rangers came by they were rude and put a sticker warning on my boyfriend's car which was a lie cause he uses that car every other day and then ranger leaves a warning for no pay which they got caught in a lie cause we had receipts for all days we stayed. Horrible visit here. They sure complained alot to the only 2 residence they had staying through the whole camp including me

Campground host is very RUDE and condescending when she talks to people.

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
