Uppon arrival we were a bit scared of leaving the RV there for a trip to Las Vegas.
However nothing happened, hopefully, and everything was there when we arrived back.
Great stay in the middle of nowhere, calm when we were there and we even heard and saw Cayotes.
45min from Las Vegas Strip
15-20min from Hoover Dam

This campground is wonderful. Very peaceful and relaxing. The camp hosts do a great job and have been very friendly with us during our stay. My uncle and I would like to say thank you to them.

The park has been looking rough the last few weeks. Storms, debris and downed trees. Maintenance has been out working on clean up ...BIG THUMBS UP to them. 👍
Was asked multiple times about my reservation, disappointed that the camp ground has gone to online only except 2 front sites. Hopefully get the kinks out of that...
We need the power back so the old camphosts will return soon...sesson is just beginning 🙂

My belongings stolen while out. Another camper stated his belongings were stolen also. Contacted law enforcement. The first time I called dispatcher said it would be a few minutes. 45 minutes I call back, the dispatcher says only one unit on patrol and they are busy so Inwould we be waiting with no ETA after already waiting 45 minutes. The camp host explained that it was my fault for leaving my campsite. If you are willing to risk staying there, save your money and do what everyone does just set up and sneak in after hours. No one is watching the site.

It defeats your purpose of looking for a site and reserving then on site with wi fi if it takes 4 days to get a e-mail confirmation just so the on site law inforcement can harrass you about---EVERY time at least 4 days to get e-mail receipt and confirmation ??? What gives ?

What can be said about a rustic campground. What is hard to understand is, what do you do if you aren't able to get a cell service (while at the campground to reserve a site or extend your stay)?

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
