The sites overlooking Lake Mead used to be great with adequate screening. However, with removing the oleanders at a lot of sites, the screening has definitely changed. In addition, the Lake has receded to unprecedented levels so that has impacted the view.
Tenting, the sites around the perimeter in the non-generator loop tend to be the most favored. Many large motorhomes use this campground and the endless drone of the generators does get old.
We miss Bob, the ole campground host! He had been there for years and always made us feel safe, was friendly and outgoing and took such good care of the campground.

The people are very friendly and curtious. No one messed with your things. Bathrooms are clean. There's water and sewage fill up and drainage. You can go hiking and site seeing. Have campfires, ride bikes. It's alot of fun up here at Las Vegas bay campground.

Perfect spot if you're staying away from the sun. Close to the restroom also. Enjoyed our stay there.

Awesome hiking trail, easy to maneuver. Clean campground, sites a bit small (24 ft mh). Coyotes too close to camp.

Spent two nights there after a trip to Arizona. Nice and peaceful there. Nice starting point to visit Lake Mead, you just need binoculars to see the water now. Everything there was working except the wi-fi. Recreation.gov makes it easy to reserve a spot. We actually reserved and paid for our spot after we got there. :)

We had both spot 34 and 36 (handicap spot). Spot 34 is a great spot. Unlike some other sites, there were bushes that blocked the wind. The table was in good proximity to the camp fire. This site is in to the restrooms, which are clean and stocked with toilet paper, though you need to bring your own hand soap. This site has a campfire ring but not a separate barbecue. Site 36 (handicap spot) also has a barbecue and a concrete pad. Site 36 did not have the bushes so it was a lot windier and we moved the tents and campfire to site 34. WiFi was not working, but site 34 had good cell reception, much better than site 36, which was spotty. I would definitely recommend this campground.

Unfortunately, the power is still off at LV Bay campground. There are no lights in the washrooms; and the cleanliness of the washrooms was not as good as last year.
The location is still fantastic and the outdoor cleanliness was great. The hiking trail is lovely.

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
