Pros: flush toilets, sinks in bathroom, not crowded, close to Vegas, lots of wildlife (saw a flock of quail, road-runner, and coyote first 2 hours we were there)
Cons: no camp host, high-pitched frequency noise coming from transmitter/receiver on top of toilet structure - luckily we were as far away as we could get with site 85 - but any closer and it would have meant a deal-breaker and we would have left
Be prepared for high winds. Keep small dogs leashed at all times - coyotes were all around and close to campsites.

Recreation.gov was awful. The first time we tried to reserve it Said Rec.gov did not offer reservations to Las Vegas Bay camp ground so we paid in an envelope. Then the host said we had to pay through the website. Eventually it did work which forced us to pay twice. Rec.gov is awful.

Camping part was nice and easy. Park employees were a little rude tho when checking reservation was valid.

The campground had some some perfect land scaping to shelter tent from the wind. The water fill station and the bathroom rooms were very clean, made for a pleasant camp. The entire park was awesome a beautiful location

We have been comming to this camground for 14 years. We have always loved this camground.
When you pulled out the host this year it really changed the camground. We would sometimes see someone driving through the camground this year. At night we were on our own. No host.
Please bring back our host.

Really nice spot on top of the hill with short hike to 360 panoramic viewpoint. Lots of trees for shades and bushes for wind blocks. Reservation online makes finding and settling in much easier. Friendly camp host comes around to check on guest’s reservations regularly. Running, clean water out of the faucet, toilets, and spigots. Campground was manicured and cleaned.

Nice campsite, especially if you need to be relatively close to Las Vegas. Quiet, nice views and we saw a covey of quail in the morning. The only downside is the megawatt light installation from the boat storage nearby.

Nice clean and beautiful view from this campground! I was highly disappointed that the Wi-Fi was down, was counting on it from past visits.

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
