We were in site 16 and it is one of the best shaded spots in the whole park. Always enjoy our visits here. Lots of nature to see, trails to take from camp, paved roads for bicycles.

Nice campground. Only gave it 4 stars because the only water spigots are at the bathroom. Very nice campground though and the camp host has measured out the spots so you tell which ones have room for larger RVs. Nice and quiet too. Camp host is a great older gentleman that’s been working there since 1991

We had a great time at Las Vegas Bay campground. We were there for 12 days. 9 days were great, but 3 days were horrible. We had a group of 50 people camping next to site. The 2 nights they were there was loud music until around 11:00 pm along with yelling and screaming. There is no host in the campground for almost a year.
During the 12 days I saw a ranger one time.
Please put a host back in the camground.

We love this campground. It's very close to our home in Las Vegas and has all of the necessary accomodations to make it comfortable. Flush toilets and bathrooms are clean, however the lighting has been off the last few times we have been there. Our campsite was comfortable. We usually are able to find a free spot even with short notice. Much quieter than Boulder Beach.

Its a convenient campground to Vegas, red rocks and valley of fire. . Nice sites. The BR was clean and nice to have a sink of sorts to at least wash your hands. Bring your own soap. A lot of generator noise in the upper number sites with the views. And lots of wind. I moved from site 70 for those reasons to site 19. Much better experience away from the noise, wind and dogs...
Don't leave anything out at your site while gone as it will be too...

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
