Fantastic campsite. Never saw host but saw patrols regular on the holiday weekend.site 32 the greatest site privacy and beautiful views. Tree cover not great for solar but ok. Easy back and forth to vegas to eat out and shop. Great vacation spot!

Recreation.gov site showed no availability but there were plenty of empty sites; I reserved from the Campground as the internet service was good. Good campground, with a good vibe. Not many hikes though.

Some extra lighting would be nice. It is quite dark there. When you have never been it would be nice to see where you are going.

Without a camp host, this campground has become a bit too convenient for parties and loud, inconsiderate folks. The bathrooms were trashed overnight such that it was unhealthy to enter. Law enforcement was called in the morning and did show up & bathrooms were power washed and cleaned thoroughly by the afternoon. Not a great experience compared to years past. Too bad.

Great location. Very close to shopping and the strip. Water and dump! Park is easy to excess but the road inside the park could be tricky for large rigs. Bushes hanging in road and tight corners.
We hope to stay at the park again.

Nice campground with trailheads to scenic hikes. There is currently no campground host and cell service is spotty. I had a campsite near the entrance, around 1 am a group of thugs decided to have side-shows with their pickup and car in the campground parking lot until around 7 am, cycling through every 20-30 minutes so the terrified campers couldn't really sleep. Early in the morning a grandfather came out yelling at these punks to slow down because his grand kids were outside of the RV, the pickup trip threw into reverse and almost mowed him down! Finally the rangers showed up to take statements, but this was after these idiots bailed. If you decide to camp at this location, consider arming yourselves so you won't become a victim of the Henderson thugs, there is no host and no way to get in touch with law enforcement.

Neighbors across the street were blasting their music until 10pm
Washroom had no lighting
washrooms had no soap for washing hands - not have soap is disgusting - how is this a best practice?

The campground is fine, bathrooms fine. There's a no-generator loop which is fantastic, but unfortunately while I was there someone just outside the loop was running the loudest generator I've ever heard, so I might as well have been camped anywhere. It was very windy there but a few sites have plantings that make good windbreaks.

The perfect get away for a quick one night camping outing to get away from the city. Extremely clean facilities.

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
