Homeless people were occupying my reserved site. Lots of working people staying there in cars and vans. Looked like a homeless camp. Got out of there and went to Boulder Beach. Got full refund

Exceeded expectations! Campground is quiet. There is good light discipline practiced in the campground. No unnecessary lights that results to light pollution. Lots of shrubs making the sites a little more private.

This campground is the closest to my winter stomping grounds with well spaced level sites and great sunsets and sunrises.
Red Rock Canyon scenic drive about 50 miles west is a must see.

Everything is working well. I stay in the no-generator section so things are quiet and peaceful.

Needs some TLC the campgrounds are nice but the landscaping is horrible, it needs to maintained and cleaned up . Light in the guys bathroom doesn't work. Just needs some care and it would be fantastic

Beautiful weather over Christmas! Cold nights but sunny days. Highly recommend the bike ride on the Historic Railway Tunnels trail!

This was a peaceful few days, especially considering how close you are to Vegas. The restrooms were clean, other guests were friendly the the scenery was serene. Bring your bike because Nevada has some of best automobile-free bike paths I have been on

Really enjoy this campground. Easy to get to, very clean facilities and great views. Fun places to visit in the area by short to medium drives.

Las Vegas Bay is an older, remote, no hookup campground we have been going to since the mid 70's. Used to have a lovely view of Lake Mead but with the drought that view is now a lovely view of the river draining the Las Vegas Valley on its way to Lake Mead. Lots of wildlife - quail, rabbits, roadrunners, coyotes. The sites are not as well maintained as in years past, but if you are looking for solitude this is the place. Don't count on wi-fi or cell phone access. We love it.

Campsite are clean and the majority of the rangers are nice and respectful ! Some of the campers are nice but there no controlling the ignorance of a human ! But overall it a nice simple campsite to get away and out of the city but still not too far from the city

Located just minutes from Las Vegas off Lakeshore Road within the park between near the city of Henderson, Nevada. Take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Follow the road about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive and take your first left onto Las Vegas Campground Road. You’ll arrive at the campground in about 1 mile.
Policies & Rules
General
- Lake Mead NRA does require an entrance fee in addition to camping fees. Entrance fees can be purchased on rec.gov or at entrance station locations.• Site capacity maximum is eight persons and four tents or one camping unit (motorhome/camp trailer).• Each site can have a maximum of two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles or a combination thereof if towed or carried on or by a camper. ## Reservations are required for all sites through this reservation system and can be made the same day as arrival. Cash is not accepted, and sites can only be booked through rec.gov.• Motor vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only and may not be driven onto the dirt or across irrigation ditches. • The campground can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups. • Camping in the park is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period.• Camping is limited to 30 days in any developed campground.• All trash must be disposed of in appropriate trash or recycling receptacles. • Pets must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6-feet in length and should not be left unattended. Never leave your pet in a closed vehicle. Pet excrement must be disposed of in trash containers.• Please do not feed wildlife. Wild animals can become dependent on handouts of food and lose their fear of humans. This is dangerous for the wildlife and you. • Trees can provide refreshing shade and a windbreak for campers. It is illegal to cut or damage any tree in a national park. Please do not hang hammocks or other items from plants/trees.• Fires are permitted in grills, fire rings, portable stoves, portable barbecues and portable fireplaces in all campgrounds.• Fires should not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished with water, doused and stirred. • A campground host is available onsite to offer assistance. Wireless internet (WIFI) is not available at any campgrounds managed by Lake Mead National Recreation Area
