I used to enjoy coming here as a climber, but for the past 10y it's been going steadily downhill. It is no longer a place of Quiet Enjoyment. People turn up with large RVs and very loud generators which they seem happy to run all day long. And it's much more expensive too with online booking charges added. For a primitive campground with no showers and pit toilets $10 was about right 10y ago. It's now $33. And half the bathroom facilities aren't open either. Thanks but I think I'll drive 30 miles up to Lovell Canyon instead.

Would come back again for a stop over site. The sites are well laid out with a nice sheltered picnic table, site #07 is close to the public pit toilets and drinking water access. There is no dump site, or water tank filling allowed for RVs, or electric power (Generator is ok), stay is limited to off-grid conditions. No problem backing in a 27 FT travel trailer and keeping the tow vehicle attached.

Make sure you get a site with covered picnic tables (along with a tarp to hang for sun). That really made the stay enjoyable. Also know that the water sources are wrong on the online map. They are by the bathrooms

Nice and convenient place to camp near Las Vegas. Camp site location was a little confusing, not being accessed from main entrance, but confusion was cleared up by staff at entrance.

The campground was fine. The required reservation system needs some work. I needed to book one night. Ended up with two nights reserved and no way to correct it. May have been a problem of my own making but no way to correct it doesn’t sit well with me.
