This was our third stay at Shamrock Rv park. The facility has always been clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We made our reservations on 1/21/2025. We were told at that time the total cost would be $1227.18 and it would all have to be paid when we made the reservation. In previous years we paid a deposit and the balance at checking in. We paid the full amount up front. However two days into our last visit the first of August 2025 we had a family emergency and had to return home. We went to the office and explained our situation. The counter person told us they had people on standby for spots. She was able to rent our space starting the following day. She asked us if we could be out first thing in the morning, we were gone by 8:00a.m. She told us we would be getting a refund of $857.60. After several months of trying to get our refund we have found that Patrick the owner has made the decision the not refund our money despite renting our spot to someone else. We have asked that the owner call us back to try and resolve this matter however as of 2/18/26 we have gotten no response.taking advantage of a guest that’s going through a terrible emergency is bad enough. But renting a spot that is already rented by someone else is just plan sleazy.

We have been staying at the Shamrock during the weeks for about 12 months now. The staff has been great, the property maintained and the neighbors nice. We never worry about our brand new 5th wheel when we go home for the weekend. I would recommend this park to anyone. If you are passing through Reno, it is a good choice.

We stayed at the Shamrock RV Park for 1.5 weeks while exploring the greater Reno area. It is only approximately 3 miles from downtown. And, it was only about 1 mile or so from the main Interstate 580/Hwy 395, the main north south freeway. The on ramp for I 80, the main east/west freeway was only approximately 2 miles away. So, the location is great for getting around the city in an expeditious manner.
We did not use any of the amenities of the campground due to the fact we either used our campers facilities or we out on the town exploring. However, we did have our German Shepherd with us, so we used their 2 fenced in dog areas. They are both small; so it is pretty much just a potty spot. We did also try to use the wifi. But, it was spotty (we were close to the back gate of the campground. However, we could use the data from our cellphones.

We arrived around midnight without a booking and luckily there was vacancy. Self check in was straight forward and we got a last minute rest on the way to BM and it was a savior. Clean showers and easy to hook up to water and power. Super quiet and lovely people running it. Thanks guys!
