Nice place. Close to Reno and relatively spacious. A little noise from the train.

I only stayed here for a short period but I have been very pleased with my experience except for one thing (later mentioned at the end).
Throughout my stay, Lynn has consistently been professional, respectful, and responsive. She often appears to be managing a lot on her own, and I especially appreciated her communication when it came to things like propane requests, general questions, and follow-up during busy periods as it seems they don't have many staff besides her and one other gal.
I normally do not feel obligated to leave reviews, but after staying here, I felt is was important to share my own experience. My payments, communication, and overall stay was handled with nothing but professionalism, and I have had no issues during my time here.
Like any RV resort there are rules in place regarding things such as parking, fire safety, quiet hours, and guests and child safety. Those expectations were clearly communicated to me upon arrival and, in my experience, were always addressed reasonably and respectfully.
During my stay, I also personally witnessed an interaction between the Manager Lynn and another guest and his family. The conversation became heated, and derogatory slurs and inappropriate language were used very public and the defaming her physical stature to intimidate her, especially in front of children. What stood out to me was that Lynn remained composed, calm and professional throughout the interaction considering she was on her own with no other management around to help her or stand up for her. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion and experience, my own was notably positive and has not reflected the concerns I've seen in other reviews. I do hope to see Lynn again at my next stay here but with the lack of support I saw her not getting from her higher-ups during this particular altercation; I would understand if she wasn't here when I come to stay again...having to deal with rude people with no back-up.
Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend this resort to others looking for a well-managed place to stay.

This is my RV campground of choice outside
the Reno area. Lynn in the front office has been very helpful the couple times I needed anything. Great scenery up against the mountains on the CA/NV border. Plenty space and trails for pets. 24 hr bathrooms with private sink/toilet/shower were clean, laundry on-site clean and fair price, seasonal pool & spa. 24 hr casino and gas station next door w restaurant during normal biz hours. Anything else you’d need is about 15-20 min drive East. Further to get to Downtown Reno. Plenty perks if you choose to gamble - Gold Ranch has multiple properties on the outskirts of the Reno/Carson area. Right off I-80 which is convenient but very loud - not a dealbreaker personally. Highway and train noise drowned out if you run heat/AC and dies down somewhat at night. This is at elevation and if you’re here in the winter expect a lot of snow. Both casino and RV park 5/5 for the market they serve.
Verdi: several “roadhouse” style restaurants and a coffee spot down 3rd St that were all good. Crystal Peak Park has trails, fishing ponds, and access to the Truckee River. Tahoe-Pyramid Trail is across I-80 and also has river access in spots. Popular jumpoff spot for OHVs headed to the National Forest trails. About 45 mins from north Lake Tahoe.

I was transferred with my local union out of California to operate heavy machinery on interstate 80 improvements for the next few years back in November of 2025. My first conversation with the office manager “Lynn” was absolutely terrible. My Navy Federal account blocked my second transaction for another 28 days reservation for fraudulent activity when Lynn attempted to charge my bank card without my permission because I was at work and didn’t pay or vacate by 12 noon. I informed her after work that I could pay by 5pm just do not charge my bank card or save my bank information without my permission, she then told me to leave and I am not allowed to stay here with my family and that the owners had told her that attempting to back up her statements. I asked her to not speak to me disrespectfully and asked who the managers and owners were. Lynn declined to provide their information and stated what she says goes and she has the final say in everything because she runs the place and is in charge. I immediately walked to the casino resort and spoke with the owners and managers and they informed me they never said anything like that nor had any idea what was going on and that I was allowed to stay. Lynn did not like that. As the months went on she continued her harassment against myself and other resort residents, including telling me one day my truck tires were touching gravel, we are not allowed to bbq, speaking disrespectfully to other residents about their children being outside, calling and texting outside business hours to the point I had to block her. I have multiple recorded phone calls and videos of Lynn approaching myself and other residents complaining about residents children being outside playing when they were bothering absolutely nobody and stating they are not allowed in the horse shoe pits and that Gold Ranch RV Resort is not kid friendly or “geared up” for children and that she has high dollar residents staying there and coming in. There has been multiple occasions she speaks about other residents in general to other residents attempting to incite drama between people and has been caught multiple times and it’s all recorded and verified. Yvonne and the other RV Resort office staff are absolutely amazing and very respectful, helpful, and never had any complaint about anybody or against them. There has been a lot of snowfall lately and residents cannot get their vehicles out of their driveways or down the drives. The resort has 2 snow plow equipped trucks and a snow plow CASE loader tractor. The snow plow truck makes one pass daily and blocks everyone’s vehicles and trailers in forcing residents to stay home, lose work, and dig themselves out. Lynn informed residents it is their responsibility to dig themselves out not the resort. Multiple residents spoke with the plow truck driver including myself and he confirmed the officer manager Lynn told him do not plow the driveways or drives except one pass down the main drive to avoid tearing up the blacktop and that it’s residents responsibilities not theirs or hers. There are a lot of traveling working families and elderly residents and this is uncalled for. Residents help each other out as much as we can to dig their vehicles and driveways and trailers out or Lynn charges peoples bank cards for extended stays at the daily max rate. Multiple residents have been forced to move due to Lynn changing people’s reservations without any type of notice. I would not recommend staying here if you can avoid it. Some people are in positions of power that abuse it and it definitely shows. ZERO STARS. My family and fellow union trade members will never stay here or recommend this place due to office management. We will all be leaving reviews on every website possible.

It's an RV park right off the freeway. Easy check in, friendly staff at check in. Free coffee and bagels in the morning. Place was clean and quiet. Behind the RV park it's a pretty ghetto area. They have a dog park, it's very small. More like a place to let your dog off the leash to go potty. We could not get a good signal on the internet. There are some long term people there. Wad good for an over night stay but pretty pricey at $75. We were able to fill up our propane tank before leaving. There is a heated indoor pool. Felt warm, not hot, however we did not use it. I'd stay again for a night or two while traveling, but nothing special for a vacation area.
