What Guests Are Saying

The Powerhouse Group Picnic Area is a beautiful venue with an easy booking experience. Although the weather forced a move indoors, the overall impression remains positive. However, there was an issue with leftover trash from previous visitors.

I love the Powerhouse picnic area and would have provided a higher rating. The only problem was that there were many bags of trash left from the previous night that were not taken away.

Beautiful, calm picnic area. The pavilion is large and well maintained, and I appreciated the check in and making sure we had everything we needed. Plenty of trash cans, and near the stream.

First we were told that it would be under construction and we'd have to meet in the parking lot so I switched to the Terraces. Then a day or two before our reunion, I checked the Terraces and found that we weren't on that schedule.. I made phone calls to Tom and he was very helpful, but the Recreation.gov people were not. I paid twice and was eventually refunded which I appreciated, but the hastle of switching places left a lot of our family confused and they went to the wrong area and totally missed the reunion. Other than that, our reunion went well. Everyone was pleased with the site.

The area was very clean and we enjoyed the day. It was nice to have the bathrooms handy for our large group. Thank you so much. I really liked the interaction of being checked with to see when we would be arriving and leaving.
