What Guests Are Saying
The Terraces Campground offers a great campsite with non-concrete areas for tent pitching, providing ample space for tents and supplies. The location is private and scenic, making it ideal for summer camp training. While day-use visitors may cause some awkwardness, the campground remains clean and well-maintained.

Really great campsite with a few non-concrete areas for pitching a tent. It was a little awkward when people came looking for a day use picnic area and we were spread through the whole site.

The location was very private and perfect for our summer camp training for work. We had plenty of space for all out tents and supplies. The place was clean and well kept. Very scenic!

The campground is actually a picnic area, and is set up as such. There are no tent pads. To set up tents, you have to spread out to the edges of the picnic areas, or find clearings. Luckily, this is pretty easy to do. My group had about 30 tents, and there was room for everyone. The site is large, centrally located, and has great views.

Our group enjoyed the site. The only problem was sometimes in the morning there was a terrible gasoline type smell. Might have been from the very nice host who used his generator? Everything was perfect.

Great group site for tents. In spite of the smoke from CA we had a wonderful time. Great base camp to access hiking, etc. Views from the campsite are wonderful. Camp host was attentive and also gave us space. Kept the restrooms clean and willingly answered our questions.

We really enjoyed our two nights here. The bathrooms and picnic tables were very clean. It was nice to be able to reserve the whole area for our family. The campground host was very friendly, helpful, and available. The only issue that we had was that it was difficult to find places to put all of our tents up. We thought that each of the sites would have space for a tent, but only a few did. We ended up putting some tents on the concrete picnic table pads, which worked, but wasn't ideal. Overall, it was a great experience.

The site itself is an excellent site. However, the experience with the on-site host was not equal to the quality of the site, nor the quality of the 2018 site hosts. We reserved the site for a group outing per the guidelines of the site. We showed up to the site which had been opened up to three other parties who each were not known to us or part of our overall group. I communicated to the site host that these individuals were not part of our group and asked what the host was going to do, to which they said there really was nothing they could do, and that the βnewβ parties needed somewhere to stay since the Thomas canyon site had no vacancy. The host said that we could ask them to leave or see about getting our money back. We called the local Scenic Canyon manager to discuss the matter, and the manager was prompt in rectifying the matter, only to be undermined by the site host who allowed one party to stay on site. During the night, someone from that party walked throughout our tent areas, which was shared and experienced by multiple individuals. This experience caused anxiety given the circumstances. We bypassed the site host and immediately contacted the manager who immediately removed the group from the site.
Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with the choice of the new host and their choice to share our group reservation, or attempt to, with others. One of the unrelated group members asked to depart opted to urinate in one of the tent sites, was discovered doing so, and promptly stopped. All of these experiences could have been avoided had the host done their job and honored our reservation to begin with.
I do not see this area being a desirable site to reserve if this should be the experience others share, and if this is the personnel that is employed.
