I must admit: Lake Tahoe is a West Coast GEM! Stunning views as well as clean and friendly communities all around make the driving worth it. The campground's main advantage of having the beach within walking distance is a plus!
The majority of the campground's sites sit on an inclined slope which one cannot see from the only picture on the website. It is good to know that guests cannot access them by personal vehicle; however, it would be logical to mention about hiking on a hill without any type of transportation device along a paved trail with full gear. Those who are handicapped face quite a challenge!
Speaking of HILL: The WIFi signal was a "Hit or Miss" pass camp site # 21. During our stay, we had no choice but to walk close to the parking lot to get connected. Placing a signal extender near the water tank perimeter would solve this big issue. A 911 call can make it out with a strong WiFi signal - should the emergency arise. I had another issue with the anti-Bear food locker being on the small size. My large ice chest would not fit. Finally, the available showers were great.
I will consider returning in the future if these issues would be corrected. Thank You.

This review refers to the walk-in tent-only campsites along the upper loop. In short, the site and the loop were completely unacceptable, unprepared, and not leveled for tent camping. In addition, the campsites were double-booked, had disgusting filthy bathrooms, overflowing garbage, bears attracted by absolutely careless and clueless campers, staff who ignored all complaints, and loud parties all night. This place fails at the basics of campground management and etiquette. Think twice before booking or avoid it if you're looking for a real family friendly tent camping experience. Highly disappointing!!!

HORRIBLE sites and so tight and shaped oddly everyone had issues in our area. Our trailer is only 25 ft or we would have really been in a jam. The sites we had were literally 6 ft from the main road, so there was obnoxious noise day and night. Laundry was out of order whole time we were there. ZERO Internet and extremely poor cell service. Paid $$$ for this too. Extremely disappointed

The site was gorgeous and very close to the lake. Their beaches offered watercraft rentals and their pier had easy access to other excursions. The resort also offered ATV activities. Although full, everyone was respectful and I never waited for a bathroom or shower, which were private. My only complaint is that the spots are not numbered well to find at night. Would recommend and would visit again.

Reservations are hard to get for a group. We had 8 sites for our group
Out of the 8 only 4 were good. The 4 that were not good. One site you could no have a fire, the pit was right nest to their trailer. The site I was in was sloped towards the stairs almost fell several times. The picnic table and fire pit were on the hook up side. I feel the sites should be more descriptive.
