What Guests Are Saying

Silver Lake Campground features a charming cabin that is well-appointed, though it lacks some finishing touches and maintenance. Guests appreciate the beautiful lakeside setting and the accommodating hosts, making it suitable for family gatherings. However, issues like cleanliness, outdated facilities, and limited office hours detract from the experience, with some guests expressing concerns over the condition of the cabins and amenities.

I have been camping in a tent for decades and stopped last year - need a bed now. I have been in hundreds of campgrounds in my life, so I speak from some experience. Here are my thoughts after 4 nights at the "Lake House":
The cabin itself is delightful inside. Clearly renovated and tastfully appointed with a good eye for appearance and function. But it isn't finished...
No side tables in the bedroom or accessible lighting, no rod in the closets let alone hangers, no storage for guest supplies in the kitchen, no shades in the living room, no shelving in the shower,
NO WAY TO BLOCK THE AFTERNOON SUN - THE AWNING DOESN'T WORK. 6 windows facing west...
Silver Lake itself is infested with Milfoil, something that is not reflected in the brochure and it totally changed my experience.
The hot water smells like hydrogen sulfide.
The deck is falling apart and dangerous.
There is a camera in the birdhouse and no sign indicating surveillance.
There is no one in the office Mon-Wed making check-in a bit strange and giving an overall impression that no one cares about the place.
Oh, and for this experience I paid $300 per night.
Modern America is buying up distressed campgrounds and I visited three while at Silver Lake. The camping public deserves a good experience at a reasonable price. "Corporate" operations seldom deliver that combination but they can do better than the current Silver Lake.

We just found your campground this year and we love it. So clean and pretty and on a lake
Also, my brother lives 2 miles down the street on Lake Winnesquam so we come here to camp, spend time on his Pontoon boat with him just down the street.
It is all good except We have been here often and I can鈥檛 figure out how to get the loyalty points for all our trips with you
But other than that, we are very happy

Awesome spot on lake, many seasonal sites but not over crowded. Accommodating host, we had a great family reunion here. swimming great for kids, not deep until way out. sites clean, some small but nice. Definitely will return. kinda old-school feeling which I love.

We rented a cabin for 3 nights. The ceiling fans were filthy. Cobwebs in every corner. We had to turn off the AC because after 10 minutes of being there I felt sick. The AC unit was disgusting and full of black mold. After contacting the office we were told they had just cleaned the cabin but if we were unhappy they would credit us 2 nights and we could find other accommodations, anyone with half a brain knows you cannot find an immediate cabin rental in July! They then told us they had no maintenance man there until the day before we left and could have him clean the cabin then. We did not want a person in cleaning a disgusting moldy AC unit with all our bedding and belongings in there. The worst thing was the office was never open, all communication was email or phone!! Noone checks you in, they leave a key outside the office door for you. Definitely do not recommend this place at all! They didn't even offered a different cabin and there were others that were vacant while we were there. Also very glad we didn't have any children with us as the "playground" area was quite outdated and unsafe!!
Response comment is a joke!! Not once was the offer made to clean the next day. After reading other reviews we are not alone. 馃槀

Campground is mostly seasonal campers. Sites are small and crowded. The bathroom needs a little updating but it was clean. Okay, place for an overnight stay if you're in the area.
